Obama is doomed (again) ... Oh wait

As Eli Lehrer usefully points out, facts are stubborn things: A lot of people still like President Obama a lot. Lehrer offers an interesting data point: "Obama’s approval rating lows, to date, are higher than those for any President since Kennedy. ... For Obama, a 41 percent “floor” means that he only needs to attract roughly 10 percent of the population to support him over his opponent since at least 41 percent of voters (and probably more than that) will likely select his name no matter. This won’t be easy. But it is yet another reason that Obama faces pretty good odds of winning a second term in office." Barring an alien invasion that takes out the entire Eastern seaboard, this is one reason why I won't be losing much sleep over Obama's reelection. My vote is already in the bank for him. So are those of at least 41% of Americans. I'm more worried about what happens in 2016. (If the aliens do invade, I'll just sell everything, buy a boat, and head for Tahiti. Hmm. That's tempting. Maybe I ought to do that anyway.)
