The Lilith of the Crazy Right

Right-wing Islamophobe Debbie Schlussel says, "Whole Foods is whoring itself out to Islam for profits." So is she, though I'm sure that exquisite irony is lost on her. Schlussel peddles controversy to gain both attention and regular appearances on Fox News. (In her web bio, she declares herself as "Second in 'Popularity' only to Ann Coulter.") Schlussel's specialty is making incendiary remarks about Muslims and Islam. But don't take my word for it. Behold this bit from Schlussel's latest blog post: "Here's a tip, Whole Foods: there is NOTHING 'cosmopolitan' about Islam. In fact, Islam is the antonym to cosmopolitan. Retro is in. Retro back to the year 622 and the values of savages will NEVER be in. Whole Foods . . . For the Organically Conscious Jihadist. Way more humane because, hey, 'free range chickens' can run away from the IED." See what I mean? Even Nathan Origer of The American Conservative is aghast at "what a terrifying(ly bigoted and close-minded) Lilith she is." But I wonder. Is she really a bigot or is this just a shtick? I wouldn't be surprised if its the latter. Look at the photos above. Both are Schlussel (believe it or not). One has been obviously, lovingly, painstakingly Photoshopped. The other is, well, what she really looks like. Guess which one prominently adorns her blog? Apart from making money and landing a man (she's 42 and never been kissed married), I'm thinking this lady has, um, issues.
