If you're lucky, you've either completely forgotten about
Tammy Faye Bakker or (even better) never heard of her. She was what I call a professional Jesus freak. Tammy was married to televangelist (and convicted felon) Jim Bakker and, well, just look at that face. Need I say more? Anyway, I was digging for something else on Google when my digital shovel unearthed an old quote of hers: "You can educate yourself right out of a relationship with God." Translation: Stay stupid and go to Heaven. It's not nice to speak ill of the dead (she died in 2007), so I won't go much further than I already have. But what an amazingly ignorant statement. It just took my breath away.
