Leave it to the media to over-dramatize and get it exactly wrong.
This gem is just in from TPM: "It was widely believed that the economy would slowly pick up, and by November of next year President Obama would be able to take the credit for that and walk to re-election. ... real reason why Jon Huntsman has suddenly gone all Uncle Walter Cronkite on us as he speaks truth to GOP Crazy. Oh, and Obama is doomed (again, for the 50th time). Right. Never mind that election still over a year away. In politics, that's an eternity. And predicting the state of the economy on Election Day 2012 is a fool's errand. If I were you, take a cue from Obama as he "luxuriates" in Martha's Vineyard: Enjoy your summer vacation and ignore the bloggersphere. Once again, they knowest not of what they speak.
