Well, he's in, ya'll

Cowboy up, partner. It's time to roll out a little "Texas hold 'em" and every other bad pun yet to come. Gov. Rick Perry (R) officially declared his White House bid today. The flame proved too powerful for this Texan moth to resist, I guess. "I do not accept the path that America is on ... Because a renewed nation needs a renewed president," Perry proclaimed. Because, hey, it's all about me. Josh Marshall opines: "He's Michele Bachmann with The Crazy (tm) washed off ― or at least enough of it to get the GOP nomination." We'll see about that. Anyway, I'll make more substantive comments about the governor in the coming weeks. For now, I'm content to merely yawn.
