2012: Will she or won't she?

Talk about the Comeback Kid. It was good to see Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) back in Congress yesterday. Debbie Wasserman Schultz hit the nail on the head when she observed that her friend has "the heart of a lion." Can Giffords recover sufficiently to run for reelection (either for her current seat or the Senate) in 2012? It may be a bridge too far given the nature of her injury. Aides say "no decision has been made" yet. But this lion-hearted lady obviously has no fear of pushing the envelope of possibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if Giffords goes for it in 2012. After all, as Woody Allen famously put it, "Eighty percent of success is showing up." And Gabby just did.
