Money still talks

Alec Baldwin is warming up for his next act: politics. Rumor has it that he wants to add Hizzoner to his name as New York Mayor. But not just yet. The NY Times reports: "Mr. Baldwin said that he would probably sit out in 2013 but run in a later election, and that he wanted to educate himself about the mayor’s office first. He is talking with two top universities about enrolling in a master’s program in politics and government 'to help me better understand what the fiscal imperatives of that job are,' he said." First, good for him. Higher education is always a good thing. But gee, it must be nice to chat with Harvard or Yale or NYU about "enrolling in a master’s program" and actually expect to be accepted, no questions asked. Graduate School Entrance Exams? We don't need no stinkin' GREs. Life sure is easy when you can pay for tuition (or an endowment) from the money roll you carry around in your pocket.
