Huntsman thinks Bachmann is hot

Republican (and nearly invisible) candidate Jon Huntsman told New York magazine's John Heilemann that Michele Bachmann "[M]akes for good copy--and good photography." Oops. TPM says the quote came in the context of talk about Bachmann being "more an object of media fascination than a plausible nominee," as Heilemann put it. In our era of super political correctness, Huntsman's remark is ham-fisted. But he's right. One upon a time in a galaxy far far away (i.e., Iowa), Bachmann, 55, was no doubt a head-turner during the babelicious stage of her adulthood. Any fool can see that she is still an attractive woman, esp. in soft-focus. We should all be so lucky. But it's rather amusing how Republican men in late middle age are so obsessed with her physical attributes (ditto for Palin). I wonder what Dr. Freud would say. Anyway, read the entire New York piece here.
