Should we ban Texan presidents?

Leave it to the redoubtable Tom Ricks to unearth a salient gem that everyone else misses. Among the sane, few would dispute the argument that the Vietnam and Iraq Wars were wholesale misadventures. And by the way, a president from Texas ― one a Democrat (LBJ), one a Republican (Dubya) ― led the way into each. Coincidence? Perhaps. But just in case it is not, Ricks wants a constitutional amendment. To wit: "No citizen of the state of Texas may be eligible to serve as president of the United States until five decades have passed since the end of the last war waged by a president from Texas." Heh. All opposed? The ayes have it. Sorry Rick Perry. Blame your parents.
