It ain't over until it's over

Joe Klein reminds his "dunderheaded colleagues" in PunditWorld that in September four years ago, John McCain was little more than roadkill as a presidential candidate. He had blown through his campaign war chest and was forced to fire most of his senior staff. Yet he still became the GOP nominee to face Obama (who duly crushed him). In other words, Mitt Romney should take heart (at the still viable prospect of an Obama beat down); Rick Perry should check his smugness. It ain't over until it's over, fellas.
