Who's paying attention to news?

PRACTICALLY nobody. According to the latest Pew poll, here's the degree to which Americans are closely following the big issues. Libya: 15%. The economy: 10%. The budget impasse: 5%. The 2012 election: 2%. So despite what politicians, pundits and the media would have you believe, the most Americans are not riveted to their televisions, breathlessly awaiting the next serving of breaking news. It speaks volumes about the media/pundit echo chamber and its real worth, doesn't it? Anyway, good for America. It's nice to know most folks have a life and enough common sense to ignore the 24/7 fluff.
