David Frum noted that Obama's big budget-cutting speech today was not "especially eloquent." It's a recurrent theme. Why do conservative and liberal pundits alike feel compelled to grade every speech Obama like schoolmarms? What I'm thinking isn't culturally flattering, but I'll leave it to you to ponder.
