Renown sci-fi author Isaac Asimov died this day in 1992 at age 72. As a writer, he put the "P" in prolific. He wrote or edited over 500 books. He coined the term "robotics" in his 1941 story "Liar!" Asimov once said, "Humanity has the stars in its future, and that future is too important to be lost under the burden of juvenile folly and ignorant superstition."
