The Newt Gingrich campaign is officially on life support now. It's time for the Last Rites. The AP is reporting that his top fundraisers - all of them - have "abandoned his struggling bid amid anemic fundraising and heavy spending." Well, that's that. Maybe Newt should just mimic Forrest Gump and say, "That's good. One less thing." After all, "Momma said there's only so much fortune a man really needs and the rest is just for showing off." Besides, Newt and wife Callista will always have Tiffany's (unbelievably, it turns out they have a second line of credit there, this time for - drum roll, please - $1 million dollars.)
