Dan Milbank writes oh so cleverly: "After he switched to the Republican Party in 1962, Ronald Reagan famously quipped: 'I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.' Now, the Republican Party is doing the same thing to him — and Democrats are happy to take Reagan back." Every progressive blog and talking head show are reporting much the same today, as if rank and file Dems are suddenly queuing up for "I Love Reagan" T-shirts (they're not). It's a manufactured "story" only the Beltway media could love -- and shamelessly promote. But I suspect the Gipper is spinning in his grave.
