FOR SOME REASON the esteemed Rutgers University paid $32,000 to Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi for a Q&A session with 1,000 students. The student-run Programming Association at the college coughed up the bucks for Snooki's fee. The Washington Post's Jonathan Capeheart wryly noted, "Perhaps now would be a good time to review the criteria for funding." According to the Star-Ledger: "She spent an hour answering questions, teaching students the signature 'Jersey Shore' first pump and styling a student’s hair in her iconic 'pouf' hairdo. She also introduced her father, who was in the audience wearing a "Papa Snooki" sleeveless T-shirt." And what was Snooki's most profound statement of the evening? “Study hard, but party harder.”
