Getting played, and lovin' it

A New York Times headline read: "Even If He Doesn’t Run, Trump Builds the Brand." The story's lede read: "A media miasma has generally coincided with any hint that Donald Trump might run for president." Right -- as this article's prominent placement on the Times' front page abundantly demonstrates. And yes, as many news outlets have reported, every time "The Donald" -- a man who thinks "any hair is good hair," as SNL's Seth Meyers put it last night -- says something stupid about Obama's birthplace, the ratings for his “Celebrity Apprentice” go up. Right. Funny how that happens. Dear News media: You've just got played. But the trouble is, they know it, and they're all too eager to sign up as Trump's apprentices. Ahem -- you're fired!
