Only in L.A.

Californian Della Brown, 49, heard tsunami-like waves were heading toward Santa Monica this morning. So instead of taking even a modicum of precaution, as disaster etiquette and common sense would dictate, she promptly drove to beach. Fortunately, there was nothing much to see. She told the Los Angeles Times, "I think this is obviously a false alarm." Then the single light bulb in her head flickered to life. Gee, if a real tsunami was coming, she wondered why people, including her, "are coming towards the water instead of running away. You can never be too sure what will happen." No kidding, lady. Only in LA.
