Your tax dollars at war

In Operation Odyssey Dawn, the US Navy fired 112 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Libyan air defense sites today. The cost of each missile is $569,000, according to the Navy Department. So, Uncle Sam just spent $63.7 million in the blink of an eye. Gulp! And that's just the opening barrage. To be sure, we gotta do what we gotta do in war. But as AP reporter Tom Raum noted earlier on Twitter, "you have to wonder about the cost/benefit." No kidding.
