Dowd's dreamscape

"There is something positively mythological about a group of strong women swooping down to shake the president out of his delicate sensibilities and show him the way to war," writes Maureen Dowd, the diva columnist for the New York Times. She all but called Obama "henpecked" directly. Trust me -- this little fantasy scenario played out only in Dowd's clever but increasingly batty mind. The truth it ain't. It's rather a shame she can exploit the giant megaphone of the Times to peddle this myopic tittle-tattle, and get paid high six figures for it. The dreamscape diva needs to leave foreign policy commentary to the grown-ups.
