Bluto in memoriam

They don't make them like John Belushi anymore, the comedian/actor of SNL fame who died tragically of a drug overdose this day in 1982. Whatever the reasons, the scourge of drugs has taken the lives of too many talented people. In Belushi's case, we can at least enjoy the manic humor he left to us in celluloid.

A classic scene from National Lampoon's Animal House: Having learned that Dean Wormer has ordered the expulsion of every one in the Delta frat house, our heroes are wallowing in dejection. Enter Bluto.
Bluto: Hey! What's all this laying around stuff? Why are you all still laying around here for? D-Day [to Bluto]: Let it go. War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one. Bluto: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! Otter [to Boon]: Germans? Boon: Forget it, he's rolling. Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough ... [long pause as he thinks real hard of something to say] ... The tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
Rest in peace, John Belushi.
