This dog won't Hunt(sman)

Undeclared GOP candidate Jon Huntsman is smart, handsome, wealthy, rational, charismatic, articulate, politically moderate, and experienced in both governance (ex-Utah governer) and foreign affairs (ex-China ambassador). Oh, and he speaks fluent Mandarin. Pound for pound, he is among the best the GOP has ever produced. Although I think Obama would still whup Huntsman in a head-to-head contest, he would give the president a run for his money and position himself nicely for a 2016 run. And yet the latest PPP Iowa survey shows Romney polling atop the field at 21%. "Sarah Palin and Herman Cain are tied for second at 15%. Newt Gingrich is 4th with 12%, Michele Bachmann 5th with 11%, Tim Pawlenty 6th with 10%, [and] Ron Paul 7th with 8%." But Jon Huntsman, the man with arguably the best chance of beating Obama in 2012, came in 8th place with 0%. That's right. ZERO percent. To me, this is more compelling evidence that the Republicans really have lost their collective minds.
