Can a whole state bear a grudge?

Apparently so -- if the object of its ire is LeBron James. Today, Ohio Gov. Kasich issued an official proclamation declaring Dallas Mavericks “Honorary Ohioans.” No, it's not a hoax. It's in PDF form on the governor's official website that anyone can download and print. This, of course, has nothing to do with Mavericks and everything to do with King James. Behold the swift kick to the groin in the third "Whereas" clause where it recognizes NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki "who chose to keep his talents in Dallas by renewing his contract with the Mavericks in 2010 and forgoing free agency." Unlike you know who. Now, I've never been to Cleveland and have only seen the Buckeye State from the window of a jetliner at 35,000 feet. To me, Ohio is just a collection of scenic crop circles in flyover country. So I have no dog in this fight. But damn, people -- you really need to get a life.
