Insanity in high-def

Today, I watched two talking heads (one conservative, one liberal) on MSNBC's "The Ed Show" debate the inability of politicians or pundits to engage in civil discourse. Maybe 30 seconds elapsed before the “discussion” degenerated into an incendiary, context-free, shouting match. Even scarier, both guests and the host (firebrand Ed Schultz) seemed utterly oblivious to their behavior. The irony is almost painful. Albert Einstein famously defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It was unnerving to see the proof of Professor Einstein’s adage unfold live in high-definition.
