This headline kinda captures the Huffington Post in a nutshell:

Oh, I kid the HuffPo. Besides the dreck, the website does house a measure of substantial content from a legion of bloggers and its own reporters. But to prop up traffic and page views, hawking low-brow "news" is evidently mandatory. Hence, you get "WikiLeaks Cablegate LIVE Updates" on the one hand, and "Johnny Depp: Disney Hated My 'Gay' Captain Sparrow" on the other. Of course, if I had a better idea, I'd be retired and reclining on a sloop somewhere in the Caribbean by now.
