In the classic movie
How the West was Won, grizzled buffalo hunter Jethro Stuart (Henry Fonda) tires of the endless misadventures of “civilized” man. Fed up, he packs his horse, mounts it, and tells the antagonist in no uncertain terms:
“Get somebody else to shoot your buffalo. I'm goin' back to the high lonesome, where there ain't no people at all – yet!”
In light of my previous
post, I’m beginning to appreciate the sentiment more and more.
