Occasionally,
New York Times columnist
David Brooks, the liberals' favorite conservative (and I confess, mine, too), hits one right outta the ballpark. (That's why he makes the big bucks.) He has a terrific piece today about the roots of civility. Think of it as a erudite companion to President Obama's Tucson speech. It begins where the president left off. I've excerpted parts of it as a series of bite-sized posts. But by all means read the entire Brooks
column. It's well worth your time.
