Los Angeles Times film critic Kenneth Turan's
take on
The Adjustment Bureau, a new movie based on a
short story by legendary science-fiction writer Philip K. Dick: "What makes Dick so appealing to our wary, distrustful state of mind is, in novelist Jonathan Lethem's words, his 'remarkably personal vision of paranoia and dislocation.'" Hmm. Not exactly a ringing tribute to our current times, is it? Let's hope our best days are still ahead of us.
