Rep. Peter King, a Republican and the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, is slated to hold hearings on terrorism by American Muslims. Specifically, he supposedly wants to examine their susceptibility to radicalization and recruitment by Al Qaeda. Never mind that most terrorism in America has been committed by white males. Never mind that, per the New York Times, the largest source of tips about terror suspects have come from the American Muslim community since 9/11. This is about bigotry on the part of the paranoid, plain and simple. King is nothing more than a corrupt enabler. No lengthy commentary is necessary to spotlight this unfortunate truth.
