Um, why?

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" this morning. The Washington Monthly is hardly alone in its assessment that Bachmann is "one of Congress' most ridiculous members." In private, even Republicans roll their eyes at the mention of her name. So why, then, was she invited to appear on MTP? I do not know. But I do know that NBC is making it harder and harder to take this Sunday talk show seriously.
