GOP constipation
On Laura Ingraham's radio show today, Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) expressed deep frustration over the weak Republican field for the 2012 race. He desperately wants someone like Jeb Bush to save them from Obama. "If you think you should be president it’s not about timing, it’s about ability, and if you think you have the ability to be President of the United States and lead this Republican Party back to a renaissance, now is the time because the party needs a good, strong leader," said Graham. It’s a good point. There’s just one problem. The "good, strong" GOP leaders are all principled pragmatists. In today's GOP, that's like having leprosy. Republicans let the Palin-Tea Party Axis drive the party off the cliff. Now they're reaping the whirlwind. (Hat tip: Politico)
